Short version: the house collects almost nothing, keeps less, and sells none of it. Here is the whole of it, in plain words.
Checkout happens with Stripe, the payment company. Stripe collects what a purchase needs- your name, email, card details, and a shipping address for physical pieces. Card numbers go to Stripe and only to Stripe- they never pass through or rest on this site. The house sees your order, your email, and where to send the parcel, which is what fulfilling an order requires. Stripe's own privacy policy lives at stripe.com/privacy.
Your cart, your country choice, your sound preference, and your Library sign-in for the visit all live in your own browser's storage, on your device. None of it is sent anywhere until you check out, and closing the tab keeps it right where it was- yours.
Signing in to the Library or the cart sends your email to one place: our checkout ledger at Stripe, to confirm an Inner Table subscription or a Digital Edition purchase. The email is checked, perks are unlocked, and that is the whole errand.
No advertising trackers, no analytics cookies, no pixels, no selling or sharing of anyone's information- with anyone, for any reason. Our web host, Netlify, keeps the ordinary short-lived server logs that come with serving any website. Letters sent through the Contact page arrive in the house inbox and go no further.
Write to the counter through the Contact page to ask what the house holds about you, or to have it erased. There is very little, and requests are honored gladly.
